Job Title: Accountant
Location: Asaba, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, budget management, and effective cost control across multiple production lines. The ideal candidate must possess strong accounting expertise, experience in manufacturing or agribusiness environments, and the ability to provide timely financial insights to support business decisions.
Prepare daily financial reports, including cash flow summaries, revenue analysis, and expenditure tracking. Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes. Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and financial records. Process payroll and statutory deductions including PAYE, Pension, NHF, VAT, WHT, and other remittances. Conduct budget monitoring and variance analysis. Maintain inventory valuation and cost accounting records. Develop and implement internal financial controls. Coordinate external audits and tax compliance activities. Support management with financial forecasts and budgeting exercises. Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable Nigerian financial regulations.
Bachelor's Degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. Minimum of 5 years' accounting experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or agribusiness. ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification. Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Tally ERP, or SAP Business One. Strong knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax regulations, and financial reporting standards. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
