Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with 3–5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing company.
The ideal candidate must possess strong accounting skills, excellent inventory/stock management knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role is best suited for candidates who understand manufacturing operations, inventory costing, stock reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain accurate financial records, journals, and ledgers.
Manage daily accounting transactions and bank reconciliations.
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Maintain and reconcile inventory records with physical stock.
Track raw materials, finished goods, and production inventory.
Conduct periodic stock counts and investigate stock variances.
Assist in inventory valuation and cost accounting.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
Process payroll and statutory deductions where applicable.
Support internal and external audits.
Prepare tax schedules and ensure timely statutory remittances.
Collaborate with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to improve inventory accuracy and financial controls.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3–5 years' accounting experience in a manufacturing company (Mandatory).
Strong knowledge of inventory/stock management and stock reconciliation.
Experience with manufacturing accounting and cost accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Candidate:We are looking for someone who:Has hands-on experience managing inventory in a manufacturing environment.
Understands warehouse operations and stock control procedures.
Can work independently with minimal supervision.
Is proactive, dependable, and able to meet reporting deadlines.
RemunerationCompetitive salary of ₦120,000 – ₦150,000, depending on experience and stock management expertise.
