Job Title: Automobile Engineer
Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Manage maintenance of forklifts, loaders, trucks, trailers, company vehicles, diesel generators, and material handling equipment.
Develop preventive maintenance schedules for all fleet and mobile equipment.
Diagnose engine, hydraulic, transmission, electrical, and mechanical faults.
Monitor fuel consumption and improve fleet efficiency.
Reduce vehicle downtime and maintenance costs.
Maintain vehicle service records, licensing, insurance, and statutory compliance.
Coordinate spare parts planning and workshop operations.
Ensure safety compliance for drivers and operators.
Train operators on daily equipment inspection and safe operation.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree, Higher National Diploma or OND in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
4 - 8 years of experience maintaining industrial fleets or heavy equipment.
Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or fleet management environment is highly preferred.
Hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, forklifts, loaders, trucks, generators, and diagnostic tools.
Strong planning, troubleshooting, and cost-control skills.
