The Sales/Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving sales and market growth for the company’s In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) products, laboratory equipment, reagents, consumables, and related diagnostic solutions. The successful candidate must have proven hands-on sales experience specifically within the IVD, medical diagnostics, laboratory equipment, or laboratory reagent industry. The role involves identifying and developing customers, promoting IVD products, conducting product presentations and demonstrations, managing accounts, preparing quotations and tenders, and achieving assigned sales targets. IVD industry experience is strictly required for this position. Candidates without relevant IVD/diagnostics sales experience will not be considered.
Drive sales of IVD equipment, laboratory analyzers, reagents, consumables, diagnostic kits, and related laboratory products. Identify and develop new customers across hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, medical laboratories, research institutions, clinics, and other relevant healthcare facilities. Generate qualified leads and convert opportunities into sales. Conduct regular customer visits and maintain an active sales pipeline. Achieve and exceed assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Develop sales strategies for assigned products, territories, and customer segments. Follow up on quotations, proposals, purchase orders, and pending opportunities to ensure timely conversion.
Promote the company's IVD products and solutions to prospective and existing customers. Conduct product presentations, technical sales presentations, equipment demonstrations, and customer training where required. Clearly communicate product features, applications, benefits, and competitive advantages to customers. Support product launches, promotional campaigns, exhibitions, workshops, seminars, and other marketing activities. Develop and maintain strong knowledge of the company's IVD product portfolio and competing products in the market.
Drive sales of laboratory and diagnostic equipment, including analyzers and other IVD systems. Promote associated reagents, calibrators, controls, consumables, and accessories to existing and prospective users. Identify equipment placement opportunities and develop opportunities for recurring reagent and consumables sales. Understand customer laboratory workflows and recommend appropriate products and solutions. Work closely with technical/service teams to support equipment installation, demonstrations, customer training, and after-sales requirements.
Customer & Account Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with laboratory managers, pathologists, biomedical scientists, procurement officers, hospital administrators, distributors, and other key decision-makers. Manage existing accounts and identify opportunities for repeat purchases, product upgrades, cross-selling, and upselling. Maintain regular communication with customers and respond promptly to enquiries. Provide effective post-sales follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Monitor customer needs and provide market feedback to management.
Quotations, Tenders & Sales Documentation:
Prepare and submit quotations, commercial proposals, and other sales documentation. Identify and participate in relevant public and private sector tenders. Monitor tender opportunities and coordinate required documentation for submissions. Follow up on submitted quotations and tenders through to award and order placement. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, quotations, orders, and sales activities.
Conduct regular market research within the IVD and laboratory diagnostics market. Monitor competitor products, pricing, market positioning, promotions, and customer activities. Identify emerging diagnostic technologies, products, and market opportunities. Provide management with relevant information on market trends, customer requirements, competitor activities, and pricing. Recommend strategies to improve product positioning and sales performance.
Prepare accurate weekly and monthly sales reports. Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline and provide reliable sales forecasts. Track sales targets, customer acquisition, quotations, orders, and revenue performance. Monitor outstanding opportunities and proactively follow up for conversion. Provide regular feedback on sales activities, challenges, and opportunities.
Payment & Order Follow-Up
Follow up on customer purchase orders and ensure timely processing of sales. Monitor outstanding invoices and support the Accounts team with payment follow-up. Maintain good commercial relationships while ensuring compliance with company credit and payment policies.
HND or BSc in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Science, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 2–4 years of proven sales experience specifically in the IVD, medical diagnostics, laboratory equipment, reagents, or laboratory consumables industry. IVD industry experience is mandatory. Demonstrable experience selling laboratory equipment, analyzers, reagents, diagnostic kits, consumables, or related IVD products. Proven record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. Experience selling to hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, medical laboratories, clinics, research institutions, or healthcare organizations is highly desirable. Experience with public/private sector procurement and tenders is an advantage.

Ability to identify sales opportunities and convert leads into revenue. Strong market research and competitor analysis skills. Ability to work independently and manage a defined sales territory. Target-driven, commercially minded, and results-oriented. Good reporting, organizational, and follow-up skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/sales management tools.
Basic Salary: Negotiable Mobility/Field Float Allowance: ₦100,000 monthly to support field activities, paid bi-monthly. Airtime Token: ₦10,000 monthly. Sales Commission: 1% of total sales achieved, subject to achievement of the applicable sales target.
