Job Summary
We are seeking a trustworthy, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Cashier to manage patient payments and support efficient financial operations.
The ideal candidate will ensure accurate transaction processing while delivering courteous and professional service to patients and visitors.

Key ResponsibilitiesReceive and process payments for consultations, laboratory tests, procedures, medications, and other hospital services.
Issue receipts and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
Balance cash drawers and prepare daily cash reconciliation reports.
Process payments through cash, POS terminals, bank transfers, and other approved payment channels.
Maintain accurate financial records and support end-of-day and monthly reconciliations.
Respond professionally to patient billing and payment enquiries.
Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure proper documentation and reporting.
Ensure compliance with the hospital's financial policies and internal controls.
Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.
RequirementsMinimum of an OND, HND, or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience as a cashier or in a finance-related role, preferably within a hospital or healthcare environment.
Strong numerical, analytical, and record-keeping skills.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Experience using hospital billing or accounting software is an added advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple transactions efficiently.
