Position Overview


As a Cashier / Inventory Officer, you will collaborate closely with sales personnel to facilitate customer transactions and ensure proper payment handling. Your responsibilities include managing stock and inventory at your assigned location, ensuring proper handling, receipt, and documentation of incoming inventory.
You will be tasked with processing payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining accurate records in the system.


Primary Duties

Sales Operations:


Support branch sales and profit targets.
Accept payments for products in cash or credit.
Verify pricing and quantity accuracy, provide receipts for all transactions.
Handle products to meet customer satisfaction.
Inspect items for purchase to ensure good condition.
Monitor sales transactions and report discrepancies to management.
Address and resolve customer complaints. Inventory Management:
Handle and receive location inventories/stock.
Ensure inventory security and accountability.
Release stock only with approved Sales Order Forms.
Conduct bi-monthly stock counts.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company products and pricing.
Escalate inventory inconsistencies to the financial accountant.


Cash Handling:


Deposit received cash at the bank.
Perform daily cash and bank reconciliations.
Follow up with indebted customers regularly.


Record Maintenance:


Balance cash register and generate credit/debit sales reports.
Keep accurate records of inventory received.
Document sales, payments, and credit transactions in the system.
Ensure proper documentation of stock and inventory sales.
Maintain accurate records of cash and expenses at the location. Facility Management:
Maintain cleanliness of warehouse/storeroom and equipment.
Perform additional duties as assigned.


Requirements


Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field with 3-5 years experience
Proficiency in computer operations
Strong knowledge of Google Suite applications
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
Relationship management capabilities and receptiveness to feedback
Previous cashier experience is beneficial.
Candidates must be local to the job location.
