Centre Director and Head of Training and Research

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Centre Director and Head of Training and Research to lead our Centre for Local Economic Development, Alternative Finance and Investment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing strategic human capital development training programs that align with the centre's core sectors of focus. Additionally, the Centre Director will lead our consultancy team saddled with the responsibility of providing consultancy services to individuals, corporates, and governments, while leveraging on the forging of strategic local and international partnerships to enhance our capacity and output quality.

Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and management to the centre, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
Training Program Development: Design, develop, and implement innovative training programs that align with the centre's core sectors of focus, including local economic development, alternative finance, and investment.
Consultancy Services: Provide consultancy services to individuals, corporates, and governments, leveraging our expertise in local economic development, alternative finance, and investment.
 Partnership Development: Forge strategic local and international partnerships to enhance the centre's capacity and output quality, ensuring access to cutting-edge knowledge and expertise.
Technology Deployment: Deploy modern technologies and Learning Management System (LMS) architecture to provide access to training to a multitude of prospective students, ensuring flexibility and scalability.
Research and Development: Conduct research and development in local economic development, alternative finance, and investment, ensuring that our training programs and consultancy services remain relevant and effective.
Quality Assurance: Ensure quality assurance and control in all aspects of the centre's operations, including training programs, consultancy services, and research activities.
Marketing and Promotion: Develop and implement marketing and promotion strategies to promote the centre's training programs and consultancy services, ensuring visibility and credibility in the market.


Requirements:


Education: Master's degree in a relevant field, such as economics, finance, or business administration. A PhD is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of leadership, innovation, and strategic thinking.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of local economic development, entrepreneurship development, alternative finance, and investment, as well as modern technologies and LMS architecture.
Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions.
Network: Strong network of contacts in the fields of local economic development, alternative finance, and investment, with the ability to forge strategic partnerships.
