Job Summary
The Chemistry Teacher plans and delivers engaging chemistry lessons, prepares students for examinations, conducts laboratory experiments safely, and assesses students' academic progress.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and deliver chemistry lessons in line with the school curriculum.
Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments.
Conduct practical laboratory sessions and ensure laboratory safety.
Evaluate students through assignments, tests, and examinations.
Maintain accurate records of students' attendance and performance.
Provide academic guidance and support to students.
Encourage students' interest in science through interactive teaching methods.
Manage classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school activities.
Keep up to date with developments in chemistry education and teaching methods.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemistry Education, or a related field.
Teaching qualification or certification (where required).
Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts and laboratory procedures.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to use modern teaching technologies and instructional methods.
