Chinese Translator Role

Job Summary



We are seeking a detail-oriented and fluent Chinese Translator to support communication between our Chinese-speaking stakeholders and the local team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating written and verbal communication accurately and efficiently, supporting meetings, documents, and day-to-day business activities.



Responsibilities


Translate documents, emails, and business materials from Chinese to English and vice versa.
Provide real-time verbal translation during meetings, calls, and site visits.
Assist Chinese expatriates in communicating effectively with local staff and partners
Support departmental heads and team leads in document interpretation and presentations.
Maintain the confidentiality of all translated materials and sensitive company information.
Proofread and edit translated texts for accuracy, grammar, and tone.
Handle any additional administrative support as may be assigned.


Requirements


Bachelor’s Degree in Chinese Language, Linguistics, or related field.
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written).
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a translator or interpreter in a professional setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Prior experience working in a telecom, manufacturing, or tech environment is an advantage
Cultural awareness and sensitivity in handling multicultural teams
Strong organizational and time management skills.
