Job Title: Class Assistant

Assist the Class Teacher in preparing and organizing learning materials and teaching aids. Set up the classroom before lessons and ensure it is tidy after activities. Support children during lessons, group work, and practical activities. Help reinforce concepts taught by the teacher through guided practice and individual support. Assist in displaying pupils' work and maintaining attractive learning corners.
Ensure the safety and welfare of pupils at all times. Supervise children during arrival, dismissal, break periods, mealtimes, and outdoor activities. Assist younger children with personal care needs where necessary. Encourage positive behavior and help children follow classroom routines and school rules. Monitor children's well-being and report any concerns to the Class Teacher immediately.
Provide one-on-one or small-group support to pupils as directed by the teacher. Support children with varying learning needs and abilities. Encourage participation, independence, confidence, and social interaction among pupils. Help monitor and record pupils' progress when requested.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment. Ensure learning materials, toys, books, and equipment are properly stored and cared for. Help manage transitions between activities smoothly. Support the implementation of classroom behavior management strategies.
Administrative Duties:
Assist with attendance records when required. Prepare worksheets, photocopies, learning resources, and activity materials. Help organize pupils' portfolios, files, and classroom records. Support school events, exhibitions, celebrations, and educational trips.
Follow all school safeguarding, health, and safety policies. Report accidents, illnesses, hazards, or safeguarding concerns promptly. Ensure classrooms and activity areas meet safety standards. Assist with emergency procedures and evacuation drills when required.
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times. Communicate respectfully with parents when directed by the Class Teacher or school management. Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other staff members. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
