Position Overview:

Develop, oversee, and engage in educational activities that enable students to reach their full potential and achieve their learning objectives.

This educator will collaborate with faculty members, fellow teachers, and school administrators to create instructional resources and cultivate skills across classrooms, provide lesson plans, and work with teachers to establish a learning environment where every student can maximize their potential and succeed in life.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:


Design and deliver lessons that facilitate students' comprehension and application of skills.
Create and distribute educational materials such as notes, articles, audio-visual content, assignments, and quizzes.
Offer individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning.
Procure the necessary resources and supplies for lessons.
Monitor classes to ensure all students are learning in a secure and productive environment.
Evaluate assignments and quizzes in a timely manner.
Utilize student data to track learning progress, adjust teaching practices, and enhance student performance
Oversee quizzes and final examinations.
Record and report on students' progress.
Maintain clean and organized classrooms.
Participate in meetings with parents and staff.
Demonstrate proficiency in concepts and subject areas of study
Motivate students with high academic and regulatory standards.
Encourage students to become lifelong learners and creators while promoting social, physical, language, and cognitive development.
Discuss development with parents. Identify issues and consult with other professionals.
Establish guidelines and procedures inside and outside the classroom.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree in Education; B.Ed, M.Ed.
BSc with PGDE in specified or related subjects.
A minimum of 5 years experience as a Geography/Tourism instructor.
A comprehensive understanding of best teaching practices.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Organized and adaptable disposition.
Remarkable interpersonal skills.
Infinitely patient, flexible, and composed under pressure.
Compassionate, modest, and collaborative.
Familiarity with Cambridge Standard will be considered an advantage.
An Education qualification/certification is highly desirable.
Certification in IGCSE.
Capability to teach the WAEC, IGCSE and Checkpoint curricula.
Relevant experience in preparing students for external examinations.
