Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-driven Electrical Engineer to join our engineering firm.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of electrical systems within our building and infrastructure projects.
You will ensure that all electrical designs are safe, efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with relevant codes and standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, and control systems for construction projects.
Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and electrical layouts using AutoCAD or other design software.
Conduct load calculations, energy analysis, and system sizing to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and project teams to integrate electrical systems into overall building designs.
Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on site.
Ensure compliance with national and international electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Evaluate contractor bids, materials, and equipment specifications.
Inspect completed installations and issue reports, as-built drawings, and certifications.
Diagnose and resolve electrical issues during construction or maintenance phases.
Provide technical support, cost estimation, and value engineering input during project planning and execution.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, installation, and supervision within the construction industry.
Professional certification or membership (e.g., COREN, NSE, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Dialux, or similar electrical design software.
Strong knowledge of power distribution, lighting systems, grounding, fire alarms, and low voltage systems.
Excellent understanding of construction processes, materials, and project management principles.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
