Job Title: Electrical Technician

Burn is looking for an Electrical Technician who will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in an industrial or manufacturing setting. They ensure the smooth operation of electrical components, minimize downtime, and improve production efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. Have knowledge of DOL star delta starters, programmable logic control, relays, PNP/NPN sensors and rotary encoders. Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including wiring issues, control systems, lighting systems and power supply problems using appropriate testing devices Assist with the installation of new electrical equipment and systems, ensuring correct wiring and connection according to electrical codes and standards Program and calibrate electrical control systems to optimize machine performance. Conduct safety inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with electrical codes and company safety policies. Identify electrical hazards and take corrective actions to prevent accidents. Keep accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including repairs made, parts used, and work hours. Prepare detailed reports on electrical system performance and necessary upgrades or repairs. Work closely with other maintenance staff, production teams, and engineering to ensure the availability and reliability of electrical systems. Prepare and interpret technical diagrams. Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components. Work with MRO stores to procure and maintain electrical spares Working as a team member or alone to complete projects. Making decisions based on technical documents. Performing electrical quality testing and inspections. Should be able to work on shift basis.
Skills and Experience
B.Eng / HND in Electrical Engineering Minimum of 4 years in a manufacturing sector Ability to read circuit diagrams Understanding of PLC drives is Essential.
