Description
The Engineering Intern supports the structural engineering team in preparing calculations, drawings, and technical documentation under the supervision of licensed engineers.
This role is intended to provide early-career engineers with exposure to real-world engineering design, construction practices, and project coordination.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist engineers with structural calculations and basic engineering analysis.
Prepare drawings and details using AutoCAD and Revit.
Support preparation of delegated engineering calculation packages.
Review vendor drawings and equipment submittals.
Assistwith quantity takeoffs and preliminary load calculations.
Support project documentation, drawing organization, and engineering files.
Participate in site visits and field observations whenrequired.
Assistwith responding to RFIs and coordination questions from project teams.
RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or currently pursuing) with 1 year working experience.
Strong understanding of structural engineering fundamentals.
Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit.
Basic proficiency in Excel or engineering calculation tools.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
