English Teacher at Stresert Services

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated English Teacher to join our dynamic school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous English lessons across various stages of the British curriculum, from IGCSE to A-Levels. A strong commitment to maintaining high standards in instruction, curriculum delivery, and student engagement is essential.

Key Responsibilities:


Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that are engaging, challenging, and differentiated to meet the needs of all students.
Teach English across the British curriculum, including but not limited to: IGCSE , AS and A-Level
Develop and implement effective schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment strategies in line with the British curriculum guidelines.
Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, providing constructive feedback to support their learning.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning, critical thinking, and intellectual curiosity.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, progress, and performance.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum materials and teaching methodologies.
Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and well-being.
Uphold the school\'s values, policies, and code of conduct.


Qualifications and Experience:


A Bachelor\'s degree in English, or a related field. A Master\'s degree is an added advantage.
A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., TRCN or equivalent) is ideal, but not a must
Minimum of 5 years of proven teaching experience in English, preferably within an international school setting.
Strong familiarity and demonstrable experience with the British curriculum framework, including EYFS (understanding of progression), Key Stages, IGCSE, and A-Levels.
Proven ability to maintain consistently high standards in instruction, curriculum delivery, and student engagement.
Excellent subject knowledge in English language, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
Proficiency in using a variety of teaching methodologies and educational technologies.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a stimulating learning environment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
