Malteser International has been working in Nigeria since 2017. In Northeast Nigeria and more specifically in Borno State, MI is currently active in the WASH sector for improving the lives of both the IDP population as well as the host communities. The WASH activities focus on improved access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene. They include NFI distribution, solarization of boreholes, rehabilitation of hand pumps, construction of latrines and hygiene promotion. Malteser International thereby applies a participatory, gender sensitive and inclusive approach ,food nutrition,security and livelihood. We are  recruiting to fill the position below:

 Job Title: Enumerator

Location: Benue 

Employment Type: Part-time Responsibilities

Assist in collecting  data as per the program requirements for its different implementing locations with provided Tools. Seek out respondents who fit the suggested profiles in assigned locations and collect data based on questionnaires developed and supplied by the program. Gather and accurately record responses via questionnaires via KOBO Collect provided by the Monitoring and Evaluation team. Ensure that the completeness of responses is accurate and thoroughly checked. Submit completed questionnaires/Data and other equipment used in fieldwork to the research supervisor and will, if required to do so, compile his/her findings in a format required by the program As part of each assignment, participate in briefings; carry out data collection, data entry and/or reporting. Recognize and give an account of problems in obtaining data and provide useful feedback from field research activities. Work according to the program needs and, on a project-by-project basis.


Requirements

Minimum of a Diploma, with at least one (1) year experience working as a enumerator Ability to work collaboratively in a team and engage with community members. Candidate must be residing in the community, with proven ability to communicate in the local dialects. Candidates must be above 18 years; with proven community volunteering working experience. Ability to work under pressure and flexible; Proven integrity and good character and good knowledge of Local context Ability to read and write. Strong community engagement. Perform all other work-related duties.
