Fitness and Wellness Education Instructor

Job Overview


We are seeking motivated and skilled Physical & Health Education (PHE) Teachers to join our academic staff.
The educators will assist students in maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle and provide knowledge on health-related subjects through physical education.


Key Duties


Instruct students in physical education and health-related topics
Organize and oversee physical activities, exercises, games, and sports
Foster teamwork, discipline, and good sportsmanship
Educate students about healthy living, hygiene, and personal well-being
Coordinate inter-house sports events, fitness assessments, and health-related programs
Track student progress and engagement
Uphold discipline and safety standards during all physical activities.


Qualifications


A Bachelor's Degree in Physical and Health Education or a related discipline
TRCN certification or proof of registration is preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience teaching PHE in an educational setting
Experience in organizing sports events or managing school teams is beneficial
Being a WAEC/NECO examiner is advantageous.


Competencies:


Comprehensive knowledge of sports, physical fitness, and health education
Capability to guide students in practical activities
Excellent communication and classroom management abilities
Enthusiastic, patient, and able to inspire students
Strong planning and collaborative skills.

Must be prepared to begin work at the start of the new academic term
Must be capable of working with both male and female students
