History Teacher Position

Responsibilities

Creating and maintaining a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and respect.
Communicating effectively with students to share information about student progress, concerns, and support strategies.
Providing individualized support to students who may be struggling or require additional support
Continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and staying updated on best practices in teaching and subject-matter knowledge.
Working collaboratively with other teachers, administrators, and staff members to enhance the school's educational programs and student outcomes.
Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, selecting appropriate teaching materials and resources, and ensuring curriculum coverage.
Assess student performance and set goals
Use technology to enhance learning experiences
Setting assessments and overseeing examinations
Keep an orderly classroom
Engage & encourage students to learn
Prepare the classroom for class activities.

Requirements

Candidates should possess a B.Ed / PGCE / PGDE with at least 3 years work experience.
Must have Subject Matter Expertise
Must have experience teaching and preparing students for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education(IGCSE)
Must possess time management, conflict resolution, classroom management skil
