We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join our middle and senior school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Home Economics to students in 7-9 and Fashion Design and Garment Making to students in Year 10 -12, creating engaging lesson plans, and fostering a love of learning in a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Teach Home Economics/Fashion Design and Garment Making and Agriculture: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans to students in Year 7-9.
Keep parents informed about student progress and involvement during parents-teachers meeting as well as Create a supportive learning environment: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement. Assess student progress: Develop and implement assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress. Collaborate with colleagues: Work with other teachers to develop curriculum and share best practices. Communicate with parents.
A Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics or a related field Teaching certification: TRCN Experience: Previous teaching experience, especially in Home Economics and Garment Making, is an asset.
Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Lesson planning: Ability to develop engaging and effective lesson plans. Classroom management: Ability to manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment. Technology: Competetnt at the use and integration of technology in the classroom.
