We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Hostel Parent
Location: Ogun
Key Responsibilities
Provide a safe, secure, and supportive living environment for boarding students.
Supervise students in the hostel and ensure compliance with school rules, routines, and boarding regulations.
Monitor students' welfare, behaviour, hygiene, health, and emotional well-being, reporting concerns promptly.
Maintain discipline while fostering a caring, respectful, and inclusive hostel community.
Ensure students adhere to daily schedules, including wake-up times, meals, study periods, lights-out, and other boarding routines.
Work closely with the School Nurse, Counsellor, Teachers, and other staff to support students' academic, social, and personal development.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and ensure students' safety at all times.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, visitors, and student welfare matters.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure hostel rooms and facilities are clean, organised, and well maintained.
Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies are strictly followed.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Education or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience.
Strong understanding of child safeguarding, student welfare, and adolescent development.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills..
Proficient in the use of basic computer applications.
Patient, approachable, compassionate, and emotionally resilient.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to students' welfare.
First Aid certification is an added advantage.
