Job Title: Human Resources (HR) Officer

Job Summary

• We’re seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Officer to oversee recruitment, training, performance management, and employee engagement.
• You’ll play a key role in shaping our team culture, ensuring compliance, and driving HR excellence within a growing tech startup.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
• Create job descriptions and manage the full recruitment and onboarding cycle.
• Identify training needs and organise employee development programmes.
• Implement performance appraisal systems and support KPI tracking.
• Foster a positive workplace culture through engagement and wellness initiatives.
• Update HR policies and ensure compliance with labour laws.
• Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary actions professionally.
• Manage payroll, benefits, and leave records with accuracy.
• Maintain confidential employee data and prepare HR reports.
• Align HR initiatives with business goals and workforce planning needs.
• Support daily HR operations, documentation, and offboarding processes.

Requirements
Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of a 2:2 or HND Lower Credit required.

Certifications:

• HR certifications (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, etc.) are an advantage.

Experience:

• 3–5 years in a similar HR role, preferably in a tech or startup environment.

Skills & Attributes:

• Strong knowledge of HR best practices and labour laws.
• Proficiency in HR tools and systems.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
• Discreet, proactive, and adaptable with sound judgment.
• Team player with strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
