Job Title: Instrument Technician
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Contract Responsibilities
Maintain, service, repair, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control equipment. Carry out valve removal, inspection, repair, testing, calibration, and reinstallation in accordance with approved procedures and safety requirements. Perform calibration and functional testing of valves and related instruments to ensure accuracy, reliability, and proper operation. Conduct inspections and implement appropriate corrosion control measures on valves and associated equipment. Diagnose equipment faults and determine appropriate repair or corrective actions. Install, replace, and test new valves, instruments, and related components to ensure they function correctly. Identify and procure required spare parts and materials for repairs and maintenance activities. Prepare detailed service, repair, testing, and calibration reports and maintain accurate records of work performed. Communicate identified equipment issues, repair requirements, and recommended corrective actions to clients and relevant project personnel.
General Requirements
HND / B.Eng in General Engineering and other related fields. Minimum of 3 years and above of relevant work experience. Must possess a broad knowledge of instrumentation, control, and electrical systems. Problem solving skill. Must be skilled in using Microsoft Office including: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Attention to detail when performing tasks. Critical and Analytical thinking. Able to work under moderate or no supervision. Experience in Field Instrumentation Testing, Measurement and Calibration, fault finding and Repair Understanding of Loop and schematic drawings.
