We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Inventory Officer
Location: Ikotun-Idimu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
Monitoring and tracking inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
Performing regular stock audits and reconciling discrepancies.
Coordinating with suppliers to manage orders and deliveries.
Organizing and maintaining the inventory storage areas.
Assisting with the implementation of inventory management systems.
Generating reports and analyzing inventory data to optimize stock levels.
Collaborating with store staff to ensure accurate product placement and availability.
Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw materials to identify shortages
Analyze inventory data and conduct regular assessments to identify slow-moving or obsolete items.
Record daily deliveries to reconcile inventory
Place orders to replenish stock, avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
Collaborate with suppliers and ensure delivery of goods
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues as it concerns delivery, pricing, and delivery
Generate inventory reports detailing stock levels, turnover rates, and inventory aging
QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Additional certifications in inventory management or a related field are a plus.
Previous experience in inventory management or a related role, preferably in a retail or supermarket environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and inventory management software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
