MKOBO is a fully licensed Microfinance bank by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Lagos, Nigeria. MKOBO was conceived to help solve consumers’ need for access to short-term emergency credit. Our goal is to provide access to short term unsecured loans, which is easily accessible. We cater to the demography currently undeserved by the Commercial banks in our aim to help increase financial inclusion of the Nigerian population.

Description

• We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer to join our design team. In this role, you will support the creation of visual assets across digital and print platforms, ensuring brand consistency while bringing fresh, innovative ideas to the table.
• This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their design career to grow their skills, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to impactful design projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing graphics for digital platforms (social media, email campaigns, websites, ads) and print materials (brochures, posters, presentations).
• Work closely with the senior designer(s) and marketing team to execute creative concepts and campaigns.
• Support in maintaining and evolving the brand’s visual identity and design guidelines.
• Edit and retouch images, ensuring high-quality visual output.
• Prepare and deliver design files in the correct formats for digital and print production.
• Stay updated with design trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve creative output.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate briefs into engaging designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 0–2 years of experience in graphic design (internship or freelance experience acceptable).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and familiarity with tools like Figma or Canva.
• Strong eye for typography, layout, and color theory.
• Basic knowledge of design for both digital and print media.
• Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills and ability to take constructive feedback.
