We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Slots: 2
Duties
Carry out SAH production activities including nodal cutting, establishment and multiplication cassava materials.
Monitor plant growth and maintain appropriate environmental and hygiene conditions in the screen house.
Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards during all SAH operations.
Identify and report pests, diseases, contamination, and other production challenges.
Maintain proper labelling, identification, and handling of cassava genotypes and planting materials.
Ensure proper handling, storage and maintenance of SAH consumables, tools and other production materials.
Keep accurate records of plantlet production, transplanting, survival, and other production data.
Assist with nursery management and routine management.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
RequirementsNational Diploma (ND) in Laboratory Science Technology or related field with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a well-structured organization.

Practical knowledge of cassava propagation and SAH technology
Ability to access situation and problem-solving skills
Good record-keeping and data management skills.
