Job Summary

• The Laundry Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laundry department to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective cleaning of all guest linens, uniforms, and hotel fabrics.
• The role ensures that laundry operations meet hygiene standards, company policies, and guest satisfaction expectations while maintaining staff discipline, productivity, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the laundry department.
• Ensure all laundry (guest items, staff uniforms, and hotel linen) is cleaned, pressed, folded, and stored properly.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards within the laundry unit.
• Implement efficient laundry processes to minimize wastage of detergents, water, and electricity.
• Lead, train, and motivate the laundry team to deliver excellent service.
• Prepare staff schedules and assign duties to ensure adequate coverage.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and recommend training needs.
• Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, finishing, and damage.
• Ensure prompt handling and delivery of guest laundry requests.
• Monitor fabric care to prevent damage and extend linen/uniform life cycle.
• Maintain accurate records of linens, uniforms, and laundry supplies.
• Ensure proper inventory control, stock issuance, and requisition of supplies.
• Monitor departmental costs, control wastage, and prepare monthly usage reports.
• Ensure laundry machines are properly maintained and serviced.
• Report faults and liaise with the Maintenance Department for timely repairs.
• Train staff on safe handling of laundry equipment and chemicals.
• Enforce adherence to hotel SOPs, health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and hotel policies.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve them promptly.

Requirements

• Minimum of HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of laundry chemicals, fabrics, and equipment.
• Ability to manage budgets, inventories, and staff.
• Must live within close proximity or be ready to relocate to Lekki and Environs.
• Must be Confidential. 
• Master's or Professional certification in the hospitality Management field is an added advantage.
• Experience: 6 - 10 years of experience in laundry operations, with at least 3+ in a supervisory/managerial role.

• Salary: N250,000 - N300,000 Monthly Net, depending on Experience.
