Job Title: Maintenance Inspection Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Job Responsibilities
Conduct routine, periodic, and special inspections of facilities, infrastructure, and technical systems. Assess physical condition, functionality, integrity, and operational readiness of assets. Identify defects, deterioration, maintenance needs, and safety hazards. Evaluate building systems against established performance standards. Perform condition assessments and asset health reviews. Maintain facility inspection schedules and programs. Generate inspection reports with prioritized recommendations.
Coordinate implementation of preventive maintenance programs. Monitor compliance with approved maintenance schedules. Verify proper execution of corrective maintenance activities. Conduct post-maintenance inspections to assure work quality. Support development of maintenance strategies and maintenance plans. Monitor maintenance backlog and closure performance. Ensure optimization of asset life-cycle performance.
Support asset integrity management programs. Monitor critical equipment performance and reliability. Identify risks affecting asset availability and business continuity. Participate in root cause investigations of major failures. Recommend asset improvement and replacement initiatives. Support reliability-centred maintenance initiatives.
Identify facility-related operational risks. Support hazard identification and risk assessments. Recommend mitigation plans for identified risks. Monitor critical equipment and infrastructure vulnerabilities. Support emergency preparedness and business continuity initiatives
Profile
Good HND or University Degree in Electrical Electronics Engineering. Trained or certified Auditor. Minimum of 5-8 years post NYSC professional work experience. Experience in operation and maintenance of commercial buildings, industrial facilities, oil & gas installations, airports, hotels, hospitals, or large infrastructure environments. Experience managing critical power systems and building infrastructure. Effective communication skills in English Language demonstrated in oral and written business communications with people and business presentation skillset. Working knowledge of: Windows 10 Professional or Enterprise operating system. HSEQ principles and methodologies of the local or global oil and gas industry would be an advantage. Working experience in sap pm, or other CMMS platform, Building Management system, MS Office suite, SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate and Power Apps would be an advantage.
Assists in maintaining ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2015 certifications for company facilities which is a measure of the company’s corporate image. Contributes to ensuring equipment reliability and availability as a measure of service quality. Closely related to HSE in operations to help in guaranteeing safe work processes and environment. Maintain an up-to-date asset register for FM&A LOS/ABJ to aid facility tracking and management.
HSE Objectives:
Attends all FM&A HSE Committee Meetings. Assists in the renewal of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2015 certifications for Company's facilities. Assists in the close out of all pending Synergy actions/recommendations. Familiarize self with Company's emergency procedures, carry out assigned responsibilities safely and report any incident, unsafe act or operation. Support the anomaly and downgraded situations tracking and closure process. Supports the Permit to Work (PTW) process & Perfect Day initiative at his location. Assists in ensuring closure of outstanding FM&A Synergy recommendations.
