Job Overview


The ideal applicant will be tasked with educating and motivating students in mathematical principles, analytical thinking, and problem-solving techniques, in accordance with the Cambridge curriculum.
This position involves crafting captivating lesson plans, evaluating student development, and cultivating an enthusiasm for mathematics, with an emphasis on readying students for Checkpoint, IGCSE, and SAT exams.


Primary Duties


Curriculum Planning: Formulate and implement engaging educational strategies that accommodate various learning styles and capabilities, in line with the Cambridge curriculum.
Instruction and Guidance: Impart mathematical concepts, problem-solving strategies, and critical thinking abilities to students.
Evaluation and Reporting: Monitor student progress, offer constructive criticism, and communicate student achievements, including preparation for Checkpoint, IGCSE, and SAT examinations.
Learning Environment Management: Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom atmosphere that promotes active engagement and learning.
Analytical Skill Development: Motivate students to enhance their problem-solving abilities, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking.
Exam Readiness: Equip students for Checkpoint, IGCSE, and SAT examinations, providing focused assistance and direction.
Family Communication: Interact with parents/guardians regarding student advancement, conduct, and accomplishments.


Qualifications


Applicants should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related discipline with 3-15 years of experience.
Teaching credential/qualification (e.g., PGDE, B.Ed.)
Comprehensive understanding of mathematical principles and the Cambridge curriculum
Proven track record of successfully preparing students for Checkpoint, IGCSE, and SAT examinations
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities
Capacity to work with diverse student populations and aptitudes
Patience, empathy, and creativity in teaching and learning approaches


Desirable Qualifications:


Experience teaching within the Cambridge curriculum framework
Familiarity with examination board prerequisites and benchmarks
Demonstrated history of student success in Checkpoint, IGCSE, and SAT examinations
