To teach Physics effectively and inspire students to develop a strong understanding of scientific principles, practical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities in accordance with the school’s academic standards and curriculum.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging Physics lessons in line with the approved curriculum.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, practical activities, assignments, tests, and examinations.
Conduct Physics practicals safely and effectively.
Assess students’ academic performance and provide appropriate feedback and support.
Identify students’ learning difficulties and implement suitable interventions.
Prepare students adequately for internal and external examinations.
Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, assessment, and academic progress.
Encourage students to develop scientific reasoning, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
Maintain proper discipline and classroom management.
Ensure that laboratory equipment and materials are used responsibly and safely.
Participate in departmental meetings, school activities, examinations, and other assigned duties.
Maintain professional relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and management.
Perform other duties reasonably assigned by the school management.
Qualifications and Skills
A Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Education/Physics, or a related discipline.
Relevant teaching qualification is an added advantage.
Good knowledge of the secondary school Physics curriculum.
Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.
Ability to use practical demonstrations and technology to enhance learning.
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to students’ academic and moral development.
SalaryN140,000 - N170,000 per month.
