Job Title: Primary 2 Class Teacher
Location: Benin City, Edo
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate, creative, and highly motivated Primary 2 Class Teacher with a strong knowledge of Mathematics to join our academic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across the Primary 2 curriculum while ensuring pupils develop a solid foundation in numeracy, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum.
Teach all Primary 2 subjects, with particular emphasis on Mathematics.
Develop engaging and interactive mathematics lessons that build pupils' confidence and competence.
Assess pupils' academic progress through classwork, assignments, tests, and examinations.
Identify pupils requiring additional support in Mathematics and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and instructional materials.
Keep accurate records of attendance, assessments, and pupils' progress.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding pupils' academic performance and development.
Participate in school meetings, professional development programmes, and extracurricular activities.
Perform other duties assigned by the school management.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of NCE, B.Ed., B.Sc./B.A., or an equivalent qualification in Education or a related field.
At least 2 years of teaching experience in a primary school (preferred).
Strong knowledge of the Nigerian Primary School Curriculum.
Demonstrated competence in teaching Primary Mathematics.
Experience preparing pupils for internal and external assessments is an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies:Excellent knowledge of Mathematics and effective teaching strategies.

Ability to simplify mathematical concepts for young learners.
