Primary School Physical Health Education (PHE) Teacher

 Key Responsibilities:


Create daily lesson plans and learning activities for students based on national and international school standards in physical health education.
Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction in the form of discussion, direct teaching, demonstrations, and independent practice using a variety of proven methods.
Ensure that students are physically active within the PHE class and teach skills and activities that transfer into physical activity outside of physical education class.
Evaluate student performance on tasks established by the standards using different methods such as observation, performance-based tasks, or other standard test practices.
Analysing the needs, strengths, and weaknesses of students and structuring lessons and assessments around them.
Adjusting teaching methods to suit different groups of learners.
Creating engaging, stimulating lesson plans and asking frequent questions to make sure students are on track.
Reporting any progress issues to the head of the department, as well as the parents.
Attending meetings, training sessions, workshops, conferences, and other continuing education initiatives.
Stay up-to-date with developments in physical education and incorporate new ideas into lessons


Qualifications and Skills:


Bachelor's degree in Human Kinetics or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of prior teaching experience in primary education.
Ability to tutor students with different sporting activities.
Relevant teaching certification may be required.
Able to use an interactive or smart board.
21st-century teaching skills.
TRCN certification is an added advantage
