Requirements

Application must be a holder of a Ph.D. in a relevant field with at least 12 years of teaching experience at the University level, plus 3 years as a Reader in the University.
Considerable background of research with a sufficient number (not less than 15) of scholarly publications in reputable journals and (not less than 10) edited conference proceedings in an acknowledged authority in the area of specialisation.
Not less than 75% of the publications shall be in an application area of specialisation.
Postgraduate capacity development through professional and academic activities.
Adequate postgraduate supervision for a Ph.D. And Master's levels.
Sound academic leadership and mentorship.
Administrative skills, ability and experience.
Favourable external assessment.
A professor must be currently a leader in the University or waiting external assessment for the position.
