Take full charge of the day-to-day operation of the PVC board production line: delivering the production plan, keeping thickness, density and surface quality consistent, keeping equipment running, and ensuring the safety of personnel and environmental compliance on site.
Job Responsibilities
Execute the daily PVC board production plan and deliver on time to order specifications. Coordinate all process stages — mixing, extrusion/foaming, calibration, haul-off, cutting and stacking. Monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, haul-off speed) and improve output and yield.
Apply the PVC formulation and process strictly. Monitor board thickness, density, surface flatness, colour and edge quality; handle defects such as blistering, collapse and colour variation. Supervise incoming material inspection and sample retention (resin, calcium carbonate, additives).
Establish and implement inspection, lubrication and maintenance schedules for extruders, dies, calibration tables and haul-off/cutting machines. Organise screw cleaning, die changes and troubleshooting of common faults; support overhauls. Manage the spare parts register and control repair costs.
Enforce safety and ventilation requirements for high-temperature extrusion, calcium carbonate dust and chemical additives. Control dust and scrap in line with local environmental and community requirements. Organise emergency drills and ensure fire-fighting equipment and PPE are in place.
Manage rostering, training and assessment of local operators, mixers, machine operators and helpers. Communicate and implement the Chinese management team's requirements; improve skills and discipline. Handle on-site labour relations and maintain a stable team.
Maintain inventory and consumption records, give early warning of shortages and avoid production stoppages caused by missing materials.
Record and consolidate daily data on output, formulations, equipment operation, quality and safety. Submit a weekly production report and propose improvements to capacity, cost and process.
Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 3-6 years cognate experience. Interest in and respect for Chinese culture and Chinese personnel, with a strong ability to adapt to the company's management system and corporate culture. Background in polymer materials, mechanical engineering or building materials. Experience on a PVC extrusion/foamed board line is preferred. Familiar with the basic structure and maintenance of extrusion lines; able to read and complete production records and reports. Experience managing local teams, with a strong safety mindset. Communicates clearly, works with a strong sense of responsibility and can handle emergencies.
