Assignment Objective

The aim of this project is to conduct research and field activities for quantitative and qualitative studies to evaluate two behaviorally informed interventions designed to increase the use of insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) in selected areas of Osun state, Nigeria. Each intervention will be assessed independently.
The interventions will be implemented in separate cohorts of approximately 150 households, forming a community or group of adjacent communities. The evaluation of the two interventions will be conducted separately.
The study will employ both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods to assess operational feasibility, acceptability among users and intermediaries involved in intervention delivery, and intervention costs.
The quantitative sample is expected to represent the demographic characteristics of the population in the selected location.
The study will utilize the framework developed by Bowen et al., which proposes eight areas of focus for a feasibility study: acceptability, demand, implementation, practicality, adaptation, integration, expansion, and limited-efficacy.

Project Scope

In this study, we will pilot two interventions employing different behavioral mechanisms in real-life settings. Each intervention will be tested in a separate location with distinct communities.
We will utilize both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods to measure operational feasibility, acceptability among users and intermediaries involved in intervention delivery, and intervention costs.
