We are seeking a caring, patient, and responsible School Caregiver to provide quality care and support for infants and young children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
Job Responsibilities
Provide attentive care and supervision for infants and young children throughout the school day. Assist children with feeding, toileting, dressing, and other daily care routines. Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic classroom and childcare environment. Support teachers in implementing age-appropriate learning and play activities. Monitor children's well-being and promptly report any health or behavioural concerns. Ensure children's safety at all times while encouraging positive social interaction. Maintain effective communication with teachers and other members of staff. Perform other childcare-related duties as assigned by the school.
Minimum Educational Qualification
Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/WAEC/NECO) with a minimum of five (5) credits, including English Language. A certificate in Caregiving, Early Childhood Care Education (ECCE), Health Care Assistance, or a related field is an added advantage. A Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Early Childhood Care Education or a related discipline is also an added advantage.
1–5 years' experience caring for infants or young children in a nursery school, crèche, daycare, or similar childcare setting is preferred but not compulsory.
Genuine love and passion for caring for young children. Patient, kind, compassionate, and nurturing personality. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and child-friendly environment. Basic knowledge of child development, hygiene, and nutrition. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good personal hygiene and a neat, professional appearance. High level of responsibility, reliability, and attention to children's welfare.
