Job Title: Software Engineering Faculty

Location: Lakowe, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a qualified and passionate Software Engineering Faculty to join our IT training institute.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching software engineering concepts, mentoring students through project-based learning, and preparing them for professional careers in tech.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on practical sessions on software engineering, programming, and web application development.
  • Teach programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or PHP.
  • Guide students through Frontend (HTML, CSS, React, Angular) and Backend (Node.js, Django, Laravel, etc.) technologies.
  • Prepare course materials, lesson plans, projects, and assessments in line with institutional curriculum.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay updated with current software development trends and technologies.
  • Support students in developing real-world projects and portfolio applications.

Educational Qualification & Experience

  • Minimum of B.Sc / HND in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 2 – 5 years of relevant experience in software development or teaching.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Python, Java, Full Stack Development) preferred.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in at least two major programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design principles.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git/GitHub).
  • Experience with databases (MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex topics for students of various backgrounds.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 / month
