Key Responsibilities


Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each pupil’s unique needs.
Create and deliver engaging, accessible, and differentiated lessons across core subjects.
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence, independence, and social skills.
Collaborate with general classroom teachers, teaching assistants, and therapists to support integrated learning.
Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, maintaining accurate records and preparing progress reports.
Utilize a range of teaching methods, assistive technologies, and adaptive resources to support learning.
Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and evidence-based strategies.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding progress, challenges, and strategies for home support.
Participate in professional development and stay updated on best practices in special education.
Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and school policies at all times.


Qualifications and Skills


Bachelor’s degree in special Education. or a related field (English language is an advantage).
Valid teaching certification/license with specialization in special needs education.
Proven experience teaching children with diverse needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, speech and language difficulties, physical impairments).
Strong knowledge of inclusive education strategies, IEP development, and differentiated instruction.
Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills to work with children, parents, and staff.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
