Location: Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa About the Role
TQE is looking for a Storekeeper / Inventory Assistant to support the operation of our LPG distribution Hub. This role is focused on one of the most important parts of our operation: knowing exactly what cylinders are physically in the Hub and ensuring every movement is properly recorded. You will work closely with the Hub Supervisor to receive, count, record, reconcile and dispatch LPG cylinders.
What You Will Do
Receive and count cylinders arriving at the Hub. Record cylinders received, dispatched, transferred and returned. Maintain accurate daily inventory records. Support physical stock counts and reconciliation. Identify and report inventory discrepancies. Separate and record empty, filled, damaged and rejected cylinders. Verify quantities before loading and dispatch. Support receiving and unloading activities. Maintain receiving and dispatch documentation. Support daily and weekly Hub reports. Maintain organized records of Hub transactions and expenses. Support the Supervisor with day-to-day Hub administration. Follow all TQE HSE and LPG handling procedures.
What Sucess Looks Like
Inventory records are accurate and up to date. Physical stock matches recorded stock. Every cylinder movement is documented. Discrepancies are identified and escalated quickly. Dispatch and receiving records are complete. Reports are submitted accurately and on time. The Hub remains organized and properly documented.
What We Are Looking For
Secondary school certificate required. Diploma or relevant qualification is an advantage. 1–3 years of experience in storekeeping, warehouse, inventory or logistics. Good numerical skills. Basic computer/data-entry skills. Experience with stock counting and reconciliation is preferred. Strong attention to detail. Honest, organized and reliable.
You are someone who pays attention to numbers and details. If 100 cylinders arrive, you count 100. If 60 leave, you record 60. If the physical count does not match the records, you identify the difference and raise it. Accuracy and integrity are essential to this role.
