Job Title: Valve Technician
Location: Lagos

Job Summary
Target Background: Industrial valve maintenance, valve assembly, pressure testing, PSV, gate, globe, ball, check, butterfly, and control valves in oil & gas
Key ResponsibilitiesDisassemble, inspect, repair, and assemble industrial valves.
Conduct hydrostatic, pneumatic, and seat leakage testing.
Replace seals, gaskets, packing, and trim.
Record measurements and inspection results.
Maintain workshop equipment and housekeeping.
Support offshore/ onshore shutdowns when required.
RequirementsPerson Specification:Qualifications: OND / HND / B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; training certification is an advantage. O'Level with relevant training & experience in maintenance & testing of valves.
Personality: Safety conscious, disciplined, hands-on, detail-oriented, team player, willing to learn
Experience: 3-7 years
Positive Indicators:Practical valve overhaul experience.
Experience with pressure testing and precision measuring instruments.
Ability to interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, and manuals.
Understanding of standards for testing of valves.
Strong HSE culture.
Offshore experience is an added advantage.
Negative Indicators:No practical workshop experience.
Poor housekeeping or unsafe work practices.
Inability to identify valve types / components.
History of poor attendance or disciplinary issues.
Competencies Required:Mechanical aptitude.
Valve assembly / disassembly.
Use of appropriate tools & equipment.
Blueprint reading.
Problem solving.
Good documentation.
Teamwork.
HSE awareness.
Non-Negotiable Criteria:
Proven industrial valve maintenance experience
Strong HSE attitude
Ability to read and understand standards
Competent in precision measuring and tubing construction
Good communication and teamwork
Remuneration and Benefits
Monthly Salary: N550,000.
