We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Van Sales Representative
Location: Kuje, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Core Responsibilities
Direct Sales & Distribution: Drive along designated routes to sell and deliver goods directly from the van. VSRs actively onboard new customers and manage accounts within assigned territories.
Inventory Management: Load and unload products accurately, preventing damage, loss, or spoilage. They must rotate stock at customer outlets to prevent the sale of expired or aged items.
Cash & Credit Control: Process transactions, issue receipts/invoices, collect cash or POS payments, and ensure accurate daily remittance and stock reconciliation.
Customer Relationship & Merchandising: Build strong ties with retailers. They ensure products are optimally displayed on shelves to maximize visibility and consumer off-take.
Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities (such as pricing and promotions) and report customer feedback to the factory to aid production and marketing strategies.
Key Requirements
Driver’s License: A valid driver's license (often requiring a heavy-duty or commercial license) and a strong understanding of local road networks.
Experience: Previous experience in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) route sales or the food/beverage sector.
Physical Fitness: Capable of frequent heavy lifting and extended hours of driving, loading, and unloading.
Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and basic numerical skills for invoicing and managing cash records.
