A Warehouse Manager oversees daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, staff supervision, and safety compliance, typically requiring 5+ years of experience and strong leadership skills.
Overview
A Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and accurate warehouse operations. They manage staff, maintain inventory accuracy, optimize workflows, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Oversee receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping operations. Manage inventory levels, conduct audits, and ensure accuracy. Implement warehouse policies, safety procedures, and security measures. Use WMS/ERP systems to track performance and optimize processes. Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise warehouse staff. Monitor KPIs such as order accuracy, on‑time shipping, and safety metrics. Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure safe operation. Communicate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Education & Experience
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or business preferred. Typically 5–10 years of warehouse/operations experience, with 1–3 years in operations experience, with 1–3 years in supervision. Leadership and team management Problem‑solving and decision‑making Organizational and multitasking abilities Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse systems Communication and interpersonal skills Basic math and computer proficiency.
