Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Water & Irrigation Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of Water & irrigation and infrastructure projects for agricultural development initiatives nationwide.
ResponsibilitiesLead in design conceptualisation, designing, hydraulic planning, and interpretation of irrigation engineering drawings and technical specifications
Lead the planning, execution, and management of irrigation and water infrastructure projects.
Monitor irrigation performance and recommend improvements
Coordinate installation and maintenance of irrigation infrastructure
Ensure efficient water management and sustainability practices
Collaborate with project teams on agricultural infrastructure development
RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water or Environmental Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 4years relevant experience in irrigation, hydraulic engineering, or agricultural water management projects.
Strong understanding of sprinkler, drip, center pivot, and surface irrigation systems.
Proficiency in irrigation and hydraulic engineering software such as EPANET, WaterCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D,IrriCADand GIS.
Experience in hydraulic modelling, water resource planning, and irrigation network analysis.
Strong technical, analytical, and project management skills.
Professional certification or COREN registration is an added advantage.
