Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cost Estimating Lead III to provide oversight and leadership for project cost estimate preparation, quality assurance reviews, cost planning, and project reporting activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide oversight and supervision for the preparation and quality assurance review of project cost estimates for Gate and Funding milestones.
Coordinate the preparation of Check Estimates and Schedules to assess and compare Operator-prepared submissions.
Participate in estimate and schedule assessments to verify project cost and schedule bases.
Provide leadership and technical input on improvements to estimating processes, efficiency tools, and quality assurance practices.
Coordinate with the Project Management Team (PMT) to identify and resolve project issues and support timely project delivery.
Attend project meetings and technical discussions with the PMT and external clients.
Prepare and present monthly project costing and expenditure reports to support management review and budget control.
Provide cost control and project planning advice to the internal PMT as required.
Support effective coordination between project stakeholders to address cost, schedule, and estimating requirements.
RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Previous experience in a closely related position, particularly in Cost Estimating and/or Schedule Estimating.
Strong technical knowledge of project cost planning, scheduling, estimating, and reporting.
Strong negotiation and stakeholder coordination skills, with the ability to facilitate effective solutions across internal teams.
Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
Experience providing cost control and planning support to Project Management Teams.
