They are committed to excellence in patient care, diagnostics, and treatment.
To support their growing practice, they are seeking a qualified Eye Care Technician to join their team.
The Ophthalmic Technician will play a dual role: supporting ophthalmologists in patient care and diagnostic procedures, administrative responsibilities to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Technical Duties:Gather patient medical and ophthalmic history, answer questions, and provide education on eye health and treatments.
Operate and maintain specialized equipment to perform vision and ocular tests (visual field tests, color vision tests, refractometry, etc.).
Register new patients, schedule appointments, and verify insurance details.
Assist ophthalmologists with minor office surgeries and other ophthalmic procedures.
Update and maintain patient medical records
Administer topical eye drops, ointments, and other prescribed medications.
Manage reception area: greet patients, answer phone calls, and provide professional assistance
Clean, calibrate, and maintain ophthalmic instruments and manage inventory of supplies.
Accurately record test results and patient information in medical records or patient management software.
RequirementsMinimum of OND qualification (Diploma/Certificate in a relevant field).
Prior experience as an Ophthalmic Technician, Optometric Assistant, or related healthcare role is an advantage.
Willingness to stand and walk for extended periods in a clinical environment.
