 Job Title: Finance Officer

Location: Lagos About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Officer to join our team. We are seeking a finance professional who understands that effective financial management goes beyond recording transactions. The ideal candidate will help maintain accurate financial records, strengthen internal controls, monitor project expenses, and ensure timely and reliable financial reporting.

Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation. Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice verification and payment tracking. Perform bank and other account reconciliations. Monitor project expenses against approved budgets and flag cost variances. Process expense claims, petty cash retirements, and payment requests. Support financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and variance analysis. Assist with tax documentation, statutory compliance, payroll support, and audit preparation. Ensure compliance with company financial policies and internal controls. Collaborate with Procurement, Project Management, HR, and other departments to support effective financial operations.

BSc / HND in  Accounting, Finance, Banking and Finance, or a related discipline. 2–4 years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Good knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Understanding of Nigerian tax and statutory compliance requirements. Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. High level of integrity, accuracy, accountability, and confidentiality. Experience in construction, interior fit-out, or other project-based businesses is an added advantage. ICAN/ACCA qualification or progress towards certification is an advantage.

You are proactive, meticulous, commercially aware, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You can identify discrepancies, maintain proper documentation, meet deadlines, and work effectively with different teams.
