 Job Title: Tax & Regulatory Services Manager - Business Tax (Financial Services Industry)

Location: Eti-Osa, Lagos Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Manager to join our Business Tax team, with a focus on clients in the financial services industry.

Lead the delivery of corporate income tax compliance, tax provisioning, tax audit support and advisory engagements for clients across financial services and real estate sectors. Apply deep technical expertise in the provision of bespoke tax solutions on corporate and transaction tax engagements. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and acting as trusted advisor to clients on transactions. Manage tax authority enquiries, audits and disputes; and helping clients mitigate tax risks and exposures. Help clients navigate tax and regulatory issues in transactions. Support multinational companies in addressing complex tax issues. Work with teams of tax experts across multiple jurisdictions. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and acting as trusted advisor to clients on transactions. Train, supervise and develop junior team members.

Possess a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc., B.A., B.Eng./B.Tech., etc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any discipline with a minimum of second class upper/upper credit division. Have a minimum of five credits in WASSCE Ordinary Level/NECO subjects or acceptable equivalent examination, including Mathematics and English Language in one sitting only Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in corporate or business tax, including substantial experience advising clients in the financial services industry and managing complex engagements. ICAN/ACCA qualified. Strong technical knowledge of Nigerian tax laws with exposure to international tax and cross-border structuring. Proven experience managing multiple projects and leading transaction workstreams. Effective verbal and written communication, presentation and client management skills. Advanced MS Office skills (particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Good understanding of the financial services industry. Good interpersonal skills. Good working capital management, understanding timelines, development of templates for specific task and management of client relationships. Good working professional relationship with the regulatory authorities.
