The Federal University of Agriculture, Bassambiri (FUAB) was established by an Executive Act of the Federal Government in April, 2023. It is a specialized University located in Bassambiri in the Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. It was created by the Federal Government as part of its mandate to have a University of Agriculture in each of the six geo-political zones of the country. FUAB links teaching and research to the Niger Delta’s rich agricultural and marine resources. Academic activities commence in the 2025/2026 session with a student-centred, hands-on learning model aligned to NUC standards.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Ph.D Degree in the appropriate discipline or Master's Degree in the appropriate discipline with three (3) years teaching and research experience in a University plus one (1) journal publications, or at least two (2) years as an Assistant Lecturer or M.Sc Degree plus professional registration.
