We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (QS)
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description
Assist in taking off quantities from drawings and site measurements.
Track quantities executed on site against budgeted quantities.
Maintain measurement records and cost backup documentation.
Assist in reviewing contractor and subcontractor payment claims.
Verify quantities, rates, and completed works under supervision.
Support preparation of payment recommendations.
Maintain records of certified payments and outstanding amounts.
Assist in recording and tracking variations and change requests.
Support preparation of variation cost assessments.
Maintain variation registers and supporting documentation.
Assist in preparing bills of quantities, schedules, and pricing documents.
Support procurement by analysing quotations and comparing rates.
Maintain records of purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
Attend site meetings and site walks as required.
Coordinate with site engineers to verify progress and measurements.
Support resolution of quantity and scope clarifications.
Maintain organised cost and measurement records.
Assist in preparing monthly cost reports.
Ensure all cost documentation is complete and auditable.
Develop detailed baseline construction programmes for each project.
Breakdown works into logical activities aligned with the WBS and construction methodology.
Integrate design, approvals, procurement, and construction activities into the master schedule.
Establish milestone dates and critical path activities.
Update project schedules on a regular basis (monthly).
Track actual progress against planned activities.
Validate progress updates provided by site teams.
