Job Title: Assistant Finance Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Finance Manager with 6+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably within the IT/technology sector. The ideal candidate will support financial operations, budgeting, compliance, and strategic decision-making while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
Prepare and analyze of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Monitor cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury operations Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations) Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FIRS, LIRS, etc.) Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations, and audit requirements Oversee account reconciliation and general ledger integrity Coordinate internal and external audits, and liaise with auditors Supervise junior finance staff and support capacity building Participate in financial planning, cost control, and pricing strategy development Support project-based accounting and grant/contract compliance Review and improve financial systems, processes, and controls Use financial data to support strategic decision-making and risk analysis
Qualifications and Experience
B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification (in progress or completed) Minimum of 6 years relevant experience with 2+ years in a supervisory role, preferably in the tech or service sector. Strong understanding of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and financial compliance Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, or ERP systems) Advanced MS Excel skills and data analysis capabilities
