The Bids & Tender Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering process, ensuring timely preparation, submission, and follow-up of bids and proposals. This role supports business growth by securing contracts in petroleum products marketing, waste management, environmental consultancy, pollution control, haulage, and marine services.
Tender Management: Coordinate the preparation, review, and submission of bids, proposals, and tender documents in compliance with client requirements and deadlines. Documentation Control: Maintain accurate records of all tenders, contracts, and related correspondence. Market Intelligence: Research and analyze industry trends, competitors, and opportunities in oil & gas, waste management, and marine services. Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the point of contact between clients, consultants, and internal departments during the tendering process. Compliance Assurance: Ensure all bids comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards, including environmental and safety requirements. Proposal Development: Draft technical and commercial proposals with input from engineering, finance, and operations teams. Deadline Management: Track tender timelines and ensure submissions are made ahead of deadlines. Post-Tender Follow-up: Monitor tender outcomes, provide feedback to management, and support contract negotiations.
Key Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental Science or related field. 6 - 8 years experience in bids/tender coordination within Oil & Gas, waste management, or environmental consultancy Strong knowledge of tendering process in Nigerian oil & gas sector Excellent communication and negotiation skills Proficiency in MS Office Suite and tender management software Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
